Terms and Conditions
Introduction
United Cargo Freight LLC is a fully licensed and bonded auto transport broker registered with the U.S. Department of Transportation. These Auto Shipping Service Terms and Conditions (the “Agreement”) govern the services (the “Services”) provided by United Cargo Freight LLC to you, the client (“Client,” “you,” or any person you designate).
Acceptance of Agreement
By accepting this Agreement, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to all terms and conditions contained herein. This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between you and United Cargo Freight LLC unless otherwise stated in writing.
Services
United Cargo Freight LLC acts solely as an auto transport broker. We arrange for the transportation of your vehicle by connecting you with a licensed and insured motor carrier (“Carrier”).
United Cargo Freight LLC does not own transport trucks, does not physically transport vehicles, and does not take possession of your vehicle at any time.
Our services are considered fulfilled once a Carrier has been assigned to your shipment.
SMS communication disclosure
United Cargo Freight LLC communicates with customers via SMS regarding their vehicle transport orders. Customers may opt out at any time by replying STOP.
Fees and Payment Terms
You agree to pay all fees related to the Services, including any additional charges such as extra luggage or special handling requirements.
• Payment for the booking deposit must be made via credit/debit card or Zelle at the time of booking.
• By placing an order, you authorize United Cargo Freight LLC to charge your selected payment method.
• The quoted rate provided is an estimate and may be adjusted due to unforeseen circumstances such as route changes, market conditions, or carrier availability.
The remaining balance must be paid directly to the Carrier upon delivery via cash, money order, or certified check, unless otherwise agreed.
Failure to pay the remaining balance may result in storage fees at your expense until payment is completed.
All agreed fees must be paid in full.
Order Modifications, Refunds & Cancellations
• Orders may be modified prior to vehicle pickup. A modification fee of up to $100 may apply.
• If you cancel before a Carrier is assigned, 50% of your deposit may be retained as a processing fee. The remaining balance will be refunded to your original payment method.
• If you cancel after a Carrier has been assigned, a 100% cancellation fee may apply due to resource allocation and carrier scheduling.
• Orders cannot be canceled once the vehicle has been picked up.
All cancellation or modification requests must be submitted in writing to the company’s official contact email or your assigned representative.
Placing an Order
To place an order, you must provide accurate and complete information, including:
• Vehicle details and operability status
• Pickup and delivery addresses
• Preferred pickup date
• Contact information for both locations
You will receive a verification email outlining your order details and fees. It is your responsibility to review and confirm the information.
Once a Carrier is assigned, you will receive notification with estimated pickup and delivery details. United Cargo Freight LLC does not guarantee a specific driver or Carrier.
Carrier Responsibilities
The Carrier will attempt to contact you prior to pickup and delivery to provide estimated timing.
Due to access limitations, large transport trucks may not be able to enter certain residential areas. In such cases, a nearby safe and accessible location will be arranged.
If you are unavailable at delivery, you must designate a responsible individual to accept the vehicle on your behalf.
Vehicle Preparation
You must:
• Inform United Cargo Freight LLC and the Carrier of any personal property placed inside the vehicle (not exceeding 100 lbs).
• Ensure the vehicle has approximately 1/4 to 1/2 tank of fuel.
• Disable any alarm systems.
• Remove all personal belongings and hazardous materials.
Neither United Cargo Freight LLC nor the Carrier is responsible for loss or damage resulting from failure to comply with these preparation requirements.
Transport of Vehicle
By accepting this Agreement, you authorize the Carrier to transport and operate your vehicle as necessary for loading and unloading.
The Carrier’s responsibility begins upon signing of the Bill of Lading (BOL) at pickup and ends upon signing the BOL at delivery.
You must inspect the vehicle carefully at delivery and note any damages on the BOL before signing. Failure to do so may limit your ability to file a damage claim.
Pickup and delivery dates are estimated and may be affected by weather, road conditions, mechanical issues, or other unforeseen circumstances. United Cargo Freight LLC does not guarantee specific dates or times.
Presence at Pickup and Delivery
You or your designated representative should be present during both pickup and delivery.
Failure to be present may waive certain rights, including inspection and damage documentation. United Cargo Freight LLC will not be liable for damages not properly documented at delivery.
Insurance
Carriers are required by law to maintain insurance coverage.
Typical coverage ranges include:
• $100,000–$250,000 cargo insurance
• Minimum $750,000 public liability coverage
All damage claims must:
• Be noted on the Bill of Lading at delivery
• Be submitted in writing within 15 days
United Cargo Freight LLC does not provide cargo insurance coverage and relies on documentation supplied by the Carrier. All payments must be completed before processing any claims.
Miscellaneous
United Cargo Freight LLC reserves the right to cancel any order or terminate this Agreement at any time without liability.
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California.
The Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless United Cargo Freight LLC and the assigned Carrier against any losses, damages, or legal expenses resulting from a breach of this Agreement.
Clients are advised not to engage multiple brokers or carriers for the same shipment. Doing so may invalidate the quoted price and may result in forfeiture of the deposit.
Agreement
By accepting these Terms and Conditions, you authorize the transportation of your vehicle as outlined above and agree to comply with all stated provisions.
